How do I read my Map Pack rank and visibility score?

Your Map Pack rank is your position in Google Maps for your primary keyword (e.g. #7). Your visibility score is your Map Pack presence across all 50 tracked keywords, rolled into a single 0–100% — #1 counts full weight, ~#10 counts about 10%, unranked counts zero.

Map Pack rank is a single, specific number for one keyword — the headline you check first. It's tracked nightly for your priority keywords, so it moves as you improve.

The visibility score is the fuller picture: it averages how prominently you appear across every keyword you track, so a change means your overall footprint grew or shrank — not just one keyword. A new account shows no trend until there are at least two scans to compare; it fills in over the first few days.

Both use your Google Maps position (the full ranked list), which is different from the Local Pack (the three-business box on the search page). See the explainer on why those differ.

Why this matters: Watch Map Pack rank for specific keyword progress and the visibility score for whether your overall local presence is trending up or down.
