Citations
How do I find directories my competitors are listed on but I'm not?
Open the Citations page. It compares your directory listings against your top competitors' and shows the trusted directories where they're listed and you're not — ranked by how many competitors each one has — so you know exactly where to add your business to close the authority gap.
What you'll use: The citation gap list (each row: a directory, how many competitors are listed there, and that you're missing) and the refresh button with its countdown.
Steps
- Go to Dashboard → Citations.
- Read the gap list — directories are ranked by how many of your competitors appear on them (a directory with 3 rivals is a higher priority than one with 1).
- For each gap, create a business profile on that directory — enter your name, address, and phone exactly as they appear on your Google profile (identical formatting matters).
- Use “Refresh” to re-check after you've added listings — available once every 30 days (the button shows the countdown).
Why this matters: Consistent listings on directories Google trusts reinforce that your business is real and established — a ranking and AI-visibility signal. We find the gaps; you (or your marketer) add the listings.
