GBP audit

How do I check my Google Business Profile and website for problems?

Open the GBP Audit page and run an audit. It crawls your website and checks your Google Business Profile for the technical things that decide local rankings — NAP consistency, LocalBusiness schema, mobile click-to-call, map embed, HTTPS, mobile speed — and an AI-readiness checklist, each with a plain-English fix.

What you'll use: The audit results (pass / warn / fail with fixes), the AI-readiness checklist, and the “Run audit” button.

Steps

  1. Go to Dashboard → GBP Audit.
  2. Click “Run audit” if you want a fresh crawl (you get 4 audits a month; the button shows the reopen date when you've used them).
  3. Work top-down through anything marked warn or fail — each item explains what's wrong and how to fix it in plain English.
  4. Use the one-click LocalBusiness schema generator for the schema items, then re-run to confirm they pass.
Why this matters: These technical basics quietly gate your rankings and whether AI assistants can confidently recommend you — the audit turns a murky area into a checklist.
