Review sentiment

How often does review sentiment update, and which reviews does it read?

Review sentiment refreshes automatically once a week. Each pass reads the latest ~20 Google reviews for your business and your top 5 competitors and re-scores every aspect, so the page always reflects your recent reputation. It's Google reviews only, and there's no manual “run now” — the weekly cycle keeps it current.

Twenty recent reviews per business is the sweet spot: enough to show real patterns, recent enough that an old complaint you've since fixed stops dragging your score. Because it re-reads the latest reviews each week, acting on a weakness shows up in the scores over the following weeks as newer reviews replace older ones.

Coverage is you plus your top 5 competitors — the neighbors most worth studying — so the competitor aspect cards line up with the rivals on your Competitors page. Analysis is Google-only because Google is the overwhelming majority of local review volume for our customers, and it's the surface that feeds your Map Pack ranking.

There's nothing to schedule: sentiment runs on the same weekly rhythm as the full keyword scan. The lever for moving a score is new reviews and owner replies — not a re-run.

Why this matters: Knowing it's a weekly, latest-20 read tells you what the scores are: your current reputation trend, not your all-time history — and that fixes show up over weeks, not instantly.
